Getting shorter and shorter ride! Yes,Hoi An is only 25km and it's flat all the way.No hurry to look for accommodation so early,hence I rode around the ancient old town for 5km and at the same time checking on the prices of hotel,guesthouse and homestay too. Prices ranging from 10 -15 USD,so I had chosen a homestay for 10 USD or 200k dong. After a good nap,I went out in the afternoon to explore what Hoi An has to offer as a recognised World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Hoi An 會安 can be translate as a " peaceful meeting place " was an important Vietnamese trading centre in the 16th and 17th centuries, where Chinese from various provinces as well as Japanese settled.It's historical buildings is well preserved,traditional architecture, handcrafts such as textiles,ceramics and lanterns that draws many tourists from abroad.
