We wanted to enjoy the warm bed at the guesthouse and hence we started late at 9.30am compared to our usual start time of 7 or 7.30 if we camp out. The road is the worst that i had rode in Laos,there were so many parts of the road full of loose stones with sharp edges,looks like they just pour in the stones to cover up whatever holes on the road,the worst part is, you were on a downhill on a good road,coming to a sharp corner,once you turns,then there is the bad road,you were forced to apply emergency brake to slow down to cross the bad road. Hong was the victim and fell when his tire hit a stone and lost balance,he suffered hand and leg scratches which he had to apply Yunnam medical powder to stop the bleeding.This part of Laos is very dry and hardly we saw any mountain water by the roadside unlike before,we noticed too the villages have no water supply and relay on the big blue containers of drinking water.We stopped in one of the secondary school for sleeping but was refused when the headmaster came with a motorbike on security reason. So we proceed our ride further to a shop with a big grass compound but was again told to try further down,by then Hong already filled up 3 bottles of tap water. With enough water, now we can just need to look for an empty space to camp. I spotted a wide space not an ideal campsite,but time is running out, we just managed to finish cooking and had our dinner before dark. Very few pictures taken today,truly a really boring day of riding .
