We started at 7.30am still on road S205 following the river,the weather is perfect and clear,the sun did shine for a while, we took our breakfast in Pingwu,after Pingwu the route became more remote with rock cliffs on our right and the river on the left,the surface of the road is built from cement,as we climbed higher and higher,the river became smaller,very few settlements here and mostly inhabited by the Cang tribes藏族.lunch time had to bring out our stove to cook a packet of maggie mee shared by two and made coffee.The chinese riders caught up with us in Muzuozangzu木座藏族,we were ahead of them because we started early and they started late in Pingwu.One of them named
Xiao Sun took a car due to leg injury,he booked accommodation for us in Baimazhai. The last 20 km was killing with a climb to a max altitude of 2053m, and the rain made us shivering while climbing at a snail pace of 4 kmh. Luckily
Xiao Sun anticipated the need to send a van to pick us up with 6km more to our destination.What a day of great hospitality from the 3 Chinese riders.
