It is impossible for us to ride all the way to Hekou where our we plan to exit China and enter Lao Cai in Vietnam,the distance from Panzhihua to Hekou is around 800 km,and our 30 days Chinese visa left only 4 days. That's the reason why we prefered to ride and stay in the Bus station. The bus destination is only to Kunming of 300km cost 120 Rmb plus 50 for the bike and took off at 8.30am and arrived in Kunming NW Station 1pm,unfortunately the bus to Hekou is situated in another station ( East Station),it would be a lot easier if it is the same station.So we had to hook on our panniers and rode to the East station,the distance from the GPS indicated about 20km thru' the city,but Kunming city is really big and confusing to navigate which took us almost 5 hr and 35km to arrive at the station.
