Very very tiring ride for today. There were 2 main climbs, when i completed the 1st climb of 20km,the joy of enjoying the downhill was shortlived for 2km,then came another long one with 8-11% gradient, the scorching sun make it even unbearable with average speed down to 3-5kmh.There is hardly any restaurant for rice meal and what i eaten is just 2 boiled eggs plus another 2 along the way. Muong Cha is where i am targeting to stay but i am not very sure there is a guesthouse.I really do not want to camp today as i need to have a proper meal.So no matter how I must get to Muong Cha before dark. After the 2nd climb which i am really exhausted, then came the life saving 15km downhill to Muong Cha. Thai Binh Guesthouse (200k dong) is the 1st i noticed and quickily check in for a good shower and a nice meal. The WiFi is super fast for updating my blog.

Wheel out from my hidden campsite last night

Turning right on direction to Dien Bien Phu

Morning fog on the mountain and river

Muong Lay town is on the other side of the river

Sad to see this

Interesting in seeing this village having same rooftop and each house is nicely spaced

The modern building is a kindergarden

Planning to stay in Muong Cha 39km to go

Road became bad passing thru' the villages

Stopping here for a snack not for internet

These bananas will provide some energy

Rocky mountain high

Rocky mountain high

Rocky mountain high

Rocky mountain high

Paddie harvasting

The road almost missing covered by the fallen rocks

And all of the sudden the rocks became so fine like powder
This is the only climb so far i raised white flag and push

This is the only climb so far i raised white flag and push

The flying dust after a truck went passed

My dinner in Muong Cha 50k dong
