It was almost 6pm when we rode from Kunming NW to East Station,tired and exhuasted and badly needed a rest in hotel and continues to take bus to Hekou tomorrow morning,so this looks like a beautiful plan,but it back fires as all the hotels at the east Station not accepting foreigners,but our lucky stars safe us as we found there is a bus schedule at 7.30pm to Hekou,so rush to buy the ticket 149 Rmb plus bike 100 Rmb and push our bikes thru' the elevator and scanning machine in time to board the bus with 15 min left. The ticket fare is ok but the bike fare is really cut throat,but what choice do we have?This is a sleeper bus with 38 sleeping capacity but only with less then 10 passengers.Before boarding i managed to eat the instant noodles,but my partner only have bisket. The bus arrived in Hekou at 1.30am after the bus driver sounded to us from our sleep.My partner and I have a heated arguement.My plan is not going anyway but just spread out our groundsheet to sleep at the station,but he wanted to ride to the town for food.I told him is fine but i prefered to wait here while he can ride to look for food and come back.It all started to break loose with some very abusive words from him. So he left on his own eventually and i hope he can make it safe back to Malaysia . For me i slept until 7am and started to ride to Hekou town after a big bowl of wantan for 8 Rmb. The distance is only 4km.Met a local man in is 50s who strucks a good chat with me along the Binhe road濱河路, we walked together and he recommended a cheap hotel of 50 Rmb to stay with WiFi cos' i needed to download Vietnam and Laos maps for my ride ahead. Have my bike bathed clean with hot shower and walked around the town and the custom for tomomorrow crossing.

Meng, what happen to your friend Hifi Meng? He is back in Msia ? Sad to see a big arguement at the end of the trip.
