Today we lost count of the number of tunnels we rode passed, the 2 longest one being Banqiaoshan板橋山隧道(3025m) and Futang福堂隧道(5347m),fortunately there is enough lighting inside barely kept us cycled cautiously as all the traffic passes us. Due to a section of the old road closed,we were forced to ride on the Highway S9 together with all other traffic for free,we rode along the emergency lane, the feeling is fantastic as we crossed the bridges and tunnels on the highway is so much better than the old road. Here we met a young Chinese rider named Chao Yang朝陽 who is riding back to Chengdu after having his holiday ride from Wenchuan. We exit from the Highway at the toll booth to Yingxiu back to the old road with many trucks pilling on very dusty, bad ,uneven road to Yingxiu town for lunch where we were not allowed to pay as Chao Yang insisted. After lunch,we took the opportunity to visit the ruin of a school during the 12 May 2008 earthquare of ritches scale 8.8 now as a memorial site for those who were killed. We bid goodbye to Chao Yang as he need to rush back as we continued to chat with another group from Guangdong. We continued to ride on direction to Dujiangyan under hot sun with some long manageble climbs and even crossed an uncompleted tunnel passable only to motorbikes and bicycles with no lighting,we rode in the middle with the reflector as our guide.there is a big tractor blocking at the exit. Hifi ming wanted to bet with me whether the road to Dujiangyan is on the left or right. I say left and he insist is right but i won 50 Rmb when we came to the turn.We check into a cheap guesthouse b4 Dujiangyan for 60 Rmb before the rain hit us.
