Quite an easy and relaxing ride to Dien Bien Phu on mostly downhill terrain, off course there were some up down rollings, the so called tough climb before Dien Bien Phu did not pose any challenge at all.The disappointing part is nothing much to see in term of scenery, hot and dusty.Arriving Dien Bien Phu around 2pm with a sudden rain but stopped just as fast. Ordered a bowl of Pho Bo while getting information from the locals. Checked in the guesthouse 200k dong and had my bike washed.Later went for a walk in town and climbed the 360 steps up where i supposed must be The War Monument for those Vietminh who fought in the Battle of Dien Bien Pho defeating the French. This is what i used to learn from school and nowadays one can easily find or learn anything from wiki web search. Glad i can set foot on this historic town today. After rice dinner,i bought some supplies for tomorrow's ride to Tay Trang.
