Today's ride mostly downhill with some rolling slopes,weather was cold in the morning of 9C but getting extreamly hot in the afternoon. We had our surprise lunch at a farmer's house where she made egg fried rice and cow soup for us, we really enjoy the food at a time when we were really hungry and found no place for lunch,as there is no major towns on this route,all we passed were small little villages or cun and 3 tunnels we crossed,the 2nd one Haizishan 海子山is the longest at 1995m long. We tried to stop at the Dehaizi to make some hot coffee,but found out that my Msr fuel plunger had a problem of not getting the fuel into the stove,gave up the idea and continued our direction to Maoxian which is another 40km to go and the time now is already 3.30pm.We couldn't make it as the wind is blowing too strong against us. we found the restaurant guesthouse for a room of 80 Rmb and have dinner later for 50 Rmb. It was raining in the night.
